Teething
A downloadable game

It's late at night, and while you're trying to get your toddler to settle in for a long nights rest, those pesky teeth start swelling and poking through their gums.
Use everything you have in the house at your disposal. Crunchy wafers, medication, ice pops, phone, and even some less conventional stuff once the desperation kicks in.
Teething was a weeklong project I've made while my son slept, inspired by his own teething (though we haven't fed anything living to him). He'd run around the room with his mouth open, latching onto anything for relief, with one of his favorite chew toys being myself or my wife.
We joked about him being a little zombie, and the idea for this game came to be.
Features:
- Survive 6 minutes with an ever fussy toddler, who needs you to help provide relief to their gums or you'll be the next target.
- Retro style design. Since this was a week long project I wanted to test myself with, I was more focused on mechanics and gameplay.
- Use wafers, fruit, phone, medicine, pacifier, and more to sooth them.
- Once the desperation really hits, more items will become available to offer, though you may need to do some work to get them.
- A disgruntled neighbor, who seems to have never been around a toddler and likely wouldn't be missed if something were to happen to them.
- A phone! Toddlers love phones, and this one even has the "Hi Ursa" channel on it so they can be distracted by dancing fruit and music. Maybe they'll even get up and dance around with it.
- Pacifiers get thrown, medication can't be overgiven, food gets old and disliked, and certain items can lead to a direct game over. We at Flamez Plays cannot condone violence to children.
- Real baby sounds, as recorded from my son while he chased after me in teething zombie mode. He's a great kid, but has some really killer jaw strength.
Controls:
WASD - Move
E - Interact/Pickup Items
Q - Drop Items
ESC - Pause
Shift - Nothing because when your baby is teething you're always panicking and running around

Thanks so much for the gameplay video! So happy you had fun with the various items, and I'm surprised the AI got stuck on the doorway there. The phone actually slows the rate of teething, while the ice pop gives relief but will increase the rate of teething after 15 seconds. The two almost balance each other out.
Once the teething level is 100, there's no stopping the rampage that a 1 year old will have, and he actually runs faster than the baby in game when he wants to bite us.
Ah ok that makes sense now, overall though I found it fun and wish you all the best :)
A pretty wild concept, took me a few tries but I did it, nice work Flamez and I hope real life baby isn't as hungry :D
Awesome! I play tested it and tried to tweak it so the timer is close, but it's completable with good timing. Thanks so much for playing it!
Nicely done, I did not survive the full timer. Great sounds, thank you!
Thanks! Fun story is while I was play testing it, the sounds kept making me think my son had woken up or somehow managed to get out of his crib.
